Sources of the Society's funds
As set out in the Society's Business Development Plan and Bye-laws, funds are mobilized from the following sources.
Admission Fees
A one-time ₹10 admission fee is collected from every member at the time of enrolment.
Share Capital
Members contribute share capital at ₹100 per share, building the Society’s owned funds.
Member Deposits
Savings, recurring and fixed deposits from members are the Society’s primary source of lendable funds.
Institutional Borrowings
Loans from Government banks and other financial institutions, availed as permitted under the Bye-laws.
Grants & Donations
Grants or donations, where received, are applied strictly toward the Society’s registered objectives.
Who oversees how funds are used
Being a registered co-operative society, our use of funds is bound by law, not just by policy.
Assam Co-operative Societies Act, 2007
The Society is registered and regulated under this Act and the Assam Co-operative Societies Rules, 2010.
Registrar of Co-operative Societies
Statutory returns, inspections and audits are conducted under the oversight of the Registrar and competent authorities.
Statutory Reserve Fund
A portion of surplus is set aside every year into the Statutory Reserve Fund as required by law, safeguarding member funds.
Audited Annually
Accounts are audited each financial year by an auditor appointed in accordance with the Act, with the report placed before the General Body.
