How the Board is elected
Directors are elected by the General Body of members in accordance with the Assam Co-operative Societies Act, 2007 and the Society’s registered Bye-laws. As the Society grows its membership, elections for the remaining Board seats will be conducted and results published on this page.
Every eligible member has one vote in the General Body and may contest for election as a Director, subject to the eligibility conditions in the Bye-laws.
Chief Executive Officer / Manager
- Implements Board decisions and supervises employees.
- Oversees loan and deposit operations and day-to-day office administration.
- Ensures customer service standards and compliance with internal policies.
Secretary
- Maintains all statutory records, registers and correspondence.
- Issues meeting notices, prepares agendas and minutes.
- Submits statutory returns to the Registrar of Co-operative Societies.
Treasurer
- Supervises cash management and verifies daily cash balances.
- Monitors receipts, payments and bank reconciliation.
- Reports financial irregularities directly to the Board.
Loan & Recovery Officers
- Process loan applications, verifications and disbursements.
- Monitor repayment schedules and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Report to the Loan Sanction Committee and Recovery Committee.
