Grievance Redressal
How a grievance is handled
Before initiating formal legal proceedings, members are encouraged to use the Society’s internal grievance process.
1. Submit a written grievance
Any member may submit a written grievance to the Board — in person at the branch, by post, or through the contact form on this website.
2. Board reviews the matter
The Board examines the grievance and communicates its decision to the member within a reasonable period.
3. Conciliation, if needed
Where appropriate, the Society attempts to resolve the matter through mutual discussion or conciliation before any formal proceedings.
4. Statutory escalation
Unresolved disputes are referred to the authority or forum having jurisdiction under the Assam Co-operative Societies Act, 2007.
